North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG)
The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is a voluntary association of, by and for local governments, established to assist in regional planning. NCTCOG's purpose is to strengthen both the individual and collective power of local governments and to help them recognize regional opportunities, eliminate unnecessary duplication, and make joint decisions. Now in its 52nd year, NCTCOG's programs and departments encompass transportation planning, environment and development, aging and disability resources, emergency preparedness, demographic research, regional training, criminal justice, 911 emergency numbers, a regional police academy, and more.  Use the links on this page to learn about the programs and initiatives active throughout the 16-county region.

North Texas City Management Association (NTCMA)
The North Texas City Management Association (NTCMA) was formed in 1958 to promote the proficiency of city managers and other urban administrators and to aid in the improvement of public administration in Texas. NTCMA has been an incredible supporter of UMANT for many years, serving on various panel discussions, as professional development event speakers, offering mentorship to our members, and through a partnership on the annual Wine and Dine Scholarship Dinner.

Urban Management Assistants of South East Texas (UMPSET)
The Urban Management Professionals of South East Texas (UMPSET) is committed to the professional development of young professionals in Local Government. The organization is a forum to exchange ideas, to network with other public administration professionals, and to offer an additional avenue to the serve the various communities the organization represents. UMPSET is committed to supporting the development of ethical and professional local government managers and the promotion of the City Manager form of government throughout the South East Texas region via professional development, networking opportunities and a dedication to community service projects.
